2012 HOKONUI MOONSHINERS’ FESTIVAL
Tickets are now on sale - for the 2012 Hokonui Moonshiners Festival which will be held on Saturday 25 February 2012
New Zealand’s original boutique whisky festival promises yet again to be another huge celebration, providing a chance for festival goers to sample glorious food created by the south chefs.
On Saturday 25 February Gore’s Arts & Heritage Precinct will come alive with an exciting atmosphere, setting the scene for patrons to enjoy a fabulous day of southern cuisine, Monteiths beers, enticing Central Otago wines and Moonshine whisky - while being treated to an event focused on celebrating Southland’s illicit past
The event’s high level of success and growth is only made possible by the support of our major sponsors, like The Mataura Licensing Trust; John Wyeth, General Manager of The Mataura Licensing Trust said, “The MLT board identifies that not only is The Hokonui Moonshiners Festival an important event for the community it also provides a perfect platform to showcase our hospitality outlets, whilst generating excellent flow-on economic benefits for Gore. The Mataura Licensing Trust evolved because of those early prohibition laws, so it makes sense that we align ourselves with the celebrations.”
Tickets can be purchased form the Hokonui Moonshine Museum (Phone 03 203 9288) or online at: www.ticket.co.nz or phone iticket on: 0508 484 253
